Right now.
This second.
Today.
Go look at yourself in the mirror.
Yes, I’m talking to you.
Look at the tired eyes. The unbrushed teeth. The skin that could have used a little extra moisturizer about 4 years ago. The unshowered. The unshaven. The borderline crazed… (what?! As if you don’t know what I’m talking about!)
BE PROUD!
There are parents who slide through life and never get to know their children the way you do. I bet you can look at your child and tell if she has a fever without touching her. I bet if he’s having a bad day, you knew it the second he opened his eyes. You know if he needs a hug. Or if she needs to be alone in the dark.
So, today…be encouraged.
You’re my superstar!
I suspect that you’re a superstar in your own house too..so when you’re feeling defeated, remember that you have “special” powers that only you possess!

Tired eyes? yes. unbrushed teeth. Never!
My son was seizing at 4am and I got little to no sleep.
Well I hope you got to have a quickie nap, at least!
Yes!!! Love love love how you encourage us all to stop for a minute and revel in the hard-working, amazingly persevering people that we are! Sharing this forward…
Thanks Laurie…everyone needs a little love–and those of us who constantly give, often don’t get that love in return.
Very encouraging, indeed!
GOOD!
Thanks Deana!
I’m new here, what a lovely post to land upon. My son has autism and tourettes… some days I feel more like a zombie than a superparent but it sure is nice to read this post. I wouldn’t trade him for anything…
Hi Michelle and welcome! There are plenty of days I feel like a zombie too! Actually…most days… HA! Be encouraged…that love is the best thing in the whole world!
What a great post of encouragement! You’ve just made everyone’s day here!
Thanks Melissa…I think a lot of times, we get so caught up in our lives, we forget to cheer each other on!
After a pretty mixed week here your post was very much needed. I say i have a wash and go life-hair that is wash and go as are the clothes….Peace
wash and go…I may have to try that! Thanks Jo!
It is what has caried me through the last few years and especially the first that was full of therapy type stuff for my two boys. Plus I am awful at ironing….
Peace
Thank you, Heather, I needed this today!
any time, my dear…any time!
