Yes, the staff training is what I am pushing for but am being told that it is impossible to do one big meeting since they are at the school on different days. That is why I am now asking the team to find ways to work individually with each teacher; unfortunately the Learning Support Teacher doesn’t seem willing (or able, not sure which) to take the lead on this.

College puts you into a whole other ballgame, I’ve heard, via the Americans with Disabilities Act, right? That’s how my husband finally got to substitute another class for the algebra requirement, which would have kept him from graduating.

Love the group GRRR… let’s get it all out together!

I’ve been there and done that too with the school system and you get so mad when they do not do what is written in the IEP. No matter how well the IEP is written, if it is not followed through correctly it means nothing. Grrrrrrrr. Teachers just don’t understand why the supports are needed and therefore do not use them.

I guess it is time for a Staff Training of all personnel that comes in contact with your son.

My son is a senior in high school and I am so thankful that this is our last year in the public school system. Next year, college! Eeek! Wish us luck! LOL!
