I’m going to confess one of my deepest, darkest secrets. ……….
I’m a blankie snob.
Phew. It feels good to get that into the light.
Can you blame me though?
Think how important your child’s blankie is:
- Being one of his biggest sources of comfort, a blankie needs to be the right weight and have just the right ‘slip’ for tiny fingers to rub while falling asleep.
- It needs to be the perfect size for fort building and super hero cape sessions. Not to mention the ever important Princess dress up dates and impromptu wedding veil needs.
- And if it is also stylish and hip, well that makes a Momma’s heart soar as well.
The perfect blankie can be hard for trached kids to find. Our RT was adamant that any kid with a trach not use blankets made from material that ‘shed’, such as minkee. That includes handmade quilts tied with yarn. The popular rag quilts too.
This is where, Fill In The Blankie comes in.
Ultra Personalized Baby Blankets. Up to 200 Characters! Way More Than Monogram Or A Name & Birth Date!
(I would show you a picture of Parker and his Fill In The Blankie right here, but he’s been sick this week and refuses to give that blankie up for anything. Not a great combo for a photo op.)
I simply can’t say enough about the absolutely perfect blanket she created for Parker.
From marketing, to presentation, to the quality of work, quality is of the upmost importance.
And how perfect are the words she custom embroidered on Parker’s blankie?
- Parker Reed Hodson
- Brave Hero
- I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord,
- plans to give you a future and a hope. – Jer. 29:11
You could create YOUR child’s PERFECT Fill In The Blankie too. One that you could WIN.
Come back and tell me which blanket from the many choices offered by Fill In The Blankie would you choose for YOUR blankie. INCLUDING which message you would have embroderied around it’s silky edges.

I love the Fit For Royalty blankie, this would be a great gift for my friend who is adopting a baby. I’d personalize it with the baby’s name, birthday, adoption date, and parents’ names.
I like stefan’s chenille blanket. I would put her name, her birthday and her weight, mine and her dad’s name, then babygirl we love you.
I would like the baby boy blanket in the twilight twinkle color. I put my grandsons name and birthdate, and add with love grandma and grandpa.
Martha’s Majesty and add baby name and DOB. Beautiful!
I would put For Deauna….with love from MiMi
Thanks for the contest!
I would choose the 36″ Molly’s Very Own Herringbone in Seaside Retreat. Other than my sons name, I would have to give what I would have put on there some more thought.
I subscribed to your feed.

I would pick the “Molly’s Very Own Herringbone” blankie and I would have written:
Since the very first day
I held you in my arms,
Your eyes melted my heart
I vowed to keep you from harm.
I would pick Molly’s Very Own Herringbone in ballerina pink & put my daughters birth info on it.

I would choose the Molly’s Very Own Herringbone blanket and put our babies name and birthdate with the words: I Will Always Love You!
The Praying for Parker link on this post is missing a dot and thus does not work as a hyperlink. However, I was able to correct it and visit Parker’s site. What a SWEET blessing that you have him and he has you! My heart is so moved as I read through it. (I have a son with autism, but it is a small thing in comparison).
I really like the sheety blanket, a lot. My youngest daughter actually uses the sheet that was on her bassinet as her blankie. As for a message…I would have to pray on it first.
Thank you for such a tremendous opportunity and for sharing about Parker!
Blessings to you and your family!
I am not quite sure of the exact words I’d put on my blankie (I’d have to do some research). However, I would love to put the lyrics from a Disney song on it. Thanks for the chance!
I love the Nantucket blue and white.
Hello! This is my first time on your site but now I have time to browse around more. I’ve been to the 5 Minutes for Mom site, and I see you are a wonderful new addition!
I’d pick the Martha’s Majesty blanket in white glow with white satin and would put on it:
Nevaeh Grace, Nov 24/07
Our little piece of heaven
We hoped and prayed for you
Precious gift
I would put the followinig lines from a song on it.
I am a child of God
And He Has sent me here
Has given me an eartly home
With Parents Kind and Dear.
