Okay, some topics we need help on:
-Hygiene: Showering/shaving/deodorant etc. (Carl abhors the whole process and mostly avoids it, making him scraggly and smelly)
-Spending/Saving: As much as my parents have done to teach Carl the value of money, he spends like a madmen, never letting any cashed paycheck remain in his wallet for over 48 hours.
-Disciplining a teen who has access to all important items (i.e. video games and computer) in his room and is willing to repurchase any items removed as punishment.

Still thinking about possible topics, but just as a suggestion:
maybe post the topic for the week on the Try-This Tuesday entry prior. So like next Tuesday's topic will be listed today.
I know I like to write all my posts on Saturday and then let wordpress just publish them as the days go by. So if the topic went up the same Tuesday it was done, I'd never be on topic.
Plus then we all have more time to think of a relevant post.
But it does sound like a good idea.

good word trish! as you know i picked the word contentment. i'll link the post to mr linky for others.

on your other question: i would love to see more posts dealing with our kiddos' and impulse control. our son has very little. and in some ways he seems to be getting more defiant. we rarely in the past had him color cuz he wouldn't stay on the paper. well this year we have relaxed our stance cuz he seems to enjoy it so much, but we are paying the price with lots of permanent marker on our walls, table and cupboards in this rental---aaaaccck!

another subject i'd like to see more of is communicating with teachers and paras. when they are so busy how do we get info out of them without being a nag?

and of course, i'd love to hear others who also have non verbal children and how they communicate with them. signs? pecs? assistive tech?

I'm totally dedicated to learning to live life simply and slowly. No longer measuring the success of a day by how much I can cram into it.

Creating some peace and joy around here.

Well since this is the first theme, clearly I shall be off topic on my blog.

Nonetheless to answer the question here about change, I foresee so much change ahead this year already with the arrival of the dog that I shall just aim to remain the leader of my own little pack.
Cheers [or should that be woof!]
