Crock Pot Beef Stew

Here’s another slow-cooker recipe, this time for a hearty beef stew. This is perfect for a cold evening indoors; just add a DVD and you’re all set!

Ingredients:

3 carrots, roughly cut
3 potatoes, cut into large cubes
2 lb. stew beef
½ cup water
½ cup canned tomato sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce (Lea & Perrin’s is GF)
1 clove garlic
Dash of oregano
1 bay leaf
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 onions, quartered
1 stalk celery

Put ingredients into the slow cooker in the order listed. Stir just enough to combine spices. Cover and set on low 10 to 12 hours or on high 3 to 6 hours.

Instead of 1/2 cup water, I'm going to try red wine.
