What a wonderful love story. I love watching/listening to daddies with kiddos. I also had to leave a note to tell you I completely understand your strict rules during “Sick Season.” It’s so hard for many people to understand what they perceive as “kookiness” about Sick Season rules. That is so sweet!! My twins enjoy watching college football with dh too, even though they don’t really understand the game yet. They love all the numbers involved with the timers and the stats and of course dh is teaching them all about football (he’s a fanatic). The BYU game was on a little late for them to watch with him Friday night, but they watched the Texas game with him yesterday.

Dh and I are both BYU alums, did I already know ya’ll are BYU fans? I am so scatterbrained I can’t remember, but that is cool .

One of my biggest disappointments in life is that my children, especially my boys, didn’t have their father around for times like you describe. My boys are growing into fine men, but I often feel like I have cheated them out of something very, very important (even though circumstances were completely out of my control).
