She spends so much time in the hospital or at appointments.
Alot of time on her own, without Noah or the others.
Days, weeks, when she has to miss out on the things that her friends do.
Her teachers tell me she is socially withdrawn and has a hard time mixing with her peers
and she’s supposed to start school next year.
New people, who don’t understand, new bugs and diseases, new challenges
and we’re hardly coping now.
I wonder what she thinks about it all.

Bringing up seven kids has led to in depth knowledge of asthma, autism, fetal alcohol syndrome and drug induced developmental delay, immune deficiency and autoimmune disease, ectodermal dysplasia, neonatal death and cardiac defect. Despite all of that, I didn't know I was about to start the ride of my life with the illness of my youngest daughter, Ivy.

What a beautiful picture! Breaks my heart that she has to deal with such things! There are no easy answers, are there? Hoping you are able to work out the best plan for Ivy and the rest of your family.
