I shared the story of Yumi, the creator of Voice4u, and her struggle to provide her son with a communication system.
Finally Yumi decided to take the issue into her own hands. She spoke with engineers, therapists, doctors and teachers, and all of these people were able to help her create Voice4u.
Thinking at first that it would be a personal application just for her son with autism, Yumi soon realized that people around the world with disabilities should use Voice4u too, since they all need the support.
Yumi is looking for a few good bloggers who would be interested in trying out Voice4u for themselves and then hosting a review/giveaway on their blogs. It would be a sponsored post, which means you would be compensated for your time. You would also receive a free application for one of your readers to win!
If you are interested in participating, just leave me a comment. Please include your email addy as well as your website addy and I’ll get in touch with you with all of the details!
You can find Tammy and Parker over at their other blog: Praying for Parker and on Twitter where they are known as ParkerMama.

I’m a mom of 5 children, 4 still living. I would love to try this out. My son has ADHD and SPD. Sometimes when he gets frustrated he won’t talk to me. He prefers to use hand signals. He’ll use what little sign language he does know but it’s not enough to understand everything he’s trying to tell me.
I know that it’s probably not used for such conditions but, I think that it would definitely help my son when he feels that he can’t talk.
I have two blogs. I post on both because I’m trying to get some traffic to my newly hosted site. My second site is Foggy Mama at http://foggymama.com
Thank you for considering me.
Hugs,
Erica
I would love to do this! I bought Voice 4 U when you talked about it a while ago and I’m using it with my 6 year old who has Down Syndrome. Right now, it’s working really well for the learning to read sight words we’re doing as well!
I did it!! And now I am giving one away…… SOOOOOO come on over and try to win one!!
I have a 3yr old daughter with ds and we are currently using the communication picture book. We would love to try this app for the itouch or iphone. She can navigate them very well and this would give her a boost of confidence.
Our son Micah has cp and is currently using the Mighty Mo made by Dynavox which diplays the Mayer Johnson symbols, as well as uploads pics from flash drives, etc.
I would be glad to try this product with Micah and offer it as a prize on my blog.
I’d also like to show it to his therapists and teacher and get their feedback.
I would be interested in helping out with this. My son is still too young to be talking, but I work with a bunch of his therapists on ways to get him moving his mouth.
Perhaps some of the people that read my blog would be interested!
I run two sites, one specifically about my son (http://potato365.blogspot.com) and one for me (http://stayworkplay.blogspot.com).
Thanks for the opportunity!
Sarah
I would be interesting in checking this out. In addition to being a momma to a some wonderful children with special needs, I have taught special education for a long time and recently changed jobs to become a professor of special education. I have been looking for new technology ideas to share with my students.
My youngest daughter, age 7 is affected with many issues including speech issues. We have been in speech therapy for 5 plus years. She was also chosen by the Az Speech & Hearing Association as the child of the year a couple of years ago. We have a Tango that we don’t currently utilize, and even with Zoe losing her vision, she handles my old iphone like a pro.
I think this application is very interesting and have already mentioned it to my SLP and our special ed dept ,assisted technology.
I am picking up my ipad on Sat. and would like to see it used on that device, due to zoe’s vision issues. I would be happy to do a review on my site. I have a book review I am going to post related to special needs, a kids book- and would be happy to help with this effort.
Been blogging since 05, 20,000K plus unique visitors and a strong audience. Published author also. All posts are on home page.
Good luck.
