I love the article. One thing that always makes me curious and more often than not when someone thinks of a child with special needs, they either think of a child in a wheel chair or a child with downs. There is a such a spectrum that i have yet to find the right balance for me. I love hearing about Parker and others with Downs but I find myself LONGING for others like me who are in the boat I am and not in the happy all the time mode!Just a thought

Nancy, if you read my posts here (and my blog)…I ain't happy all the time.
Many emotions and moods for me. Some days I am on the edge of a cliff.
I believe we, as contributors, have all blogged our ups and downs…reality, even though we've only been live on this blog one month. Also, I think we're still feeling it out a bit here at 5M4SN.
That being said, we do believe the blessings and joys outweigh any down side.
Stick around…and always feel free to express your views, emotions and ask questions. I know as a contributor here, I would love questions to help me know what info readers are seeking. Thanks for making me think about this.
Tammy, loved the links and video.

I hope I wasn't being offensive. I don't think that everyone is ALWAYS happy and go lucky. I Have just found that for OUR disability I don't find a lot of "real" people and can't always put myself in the shoes of others. I also try to put the "real me out there" and not the happy wife that this is just "ok" and blah blah. That was not what I was talking about.
When I was growing up I thought of DS and the only special needs. Then I had a whole world brought up. So that was just my opinion being expressed.

Tammy, thanks for sharing these! I think it is so awesome that 5 Minutes for Mom is reaching out in this way, and I loved the article about Little Gym.
