Mommy brain

I don't know about you, but I've gotten a lot more forgetful since having kids. I assume it has something to do with all the information crammed in there. My brain is jam-packed with medical terms and therapy info and doctors' names and phone numbers and developmental blah blah and you name it. Not to mention all the other crap in there. My habit of multitasking isn't helping, either. I once heard a time management expert say that doing several things at once is harmful to your brain, and given that I have been known to talk on the phone, watch TV, Google and eat at the same time, my brain is probably seriously eroded. I almost forgot to put this post up. People, are you with me here? Are you forgetful too?

Huh?

I used to be on time. I had things done in advance. I would never miss a therapy appointment or a scheduled phone call. Then I had my kids. And suddenly, I'm remembering to drive carpools one minute before I have to walk out the door, if that. So yes.

BTW, going to the bathroom only when you have time is also supposed to be bad for you, but does that stop us from doing it?

My brain has turned to mush. Lately I've been really forgetting things. I forget where I'm going. The other day I just sat at an intersection with absolutely no clue where the heck I was going. I didn't know whether to turn left or right.
Glad it's not just me!!!!

Very much so, ever since my boys were born. I used to chalk it up to sleep deprivation but here we are yrs later and it hasn't gotten any better. Sometimes my brain is so fried that I forget what I'm saying mid-sentence. Embarrassing, especially when it happens at work!

If you are ever in WalMart and see a middle aged woman just standing there with a blank look on her face,it's likely to be me trying to remember what I'm supposed to be buying.About the time I turn into my driveway I'll remember what I needed.

I have the worst mommy brain. I walk into the kitchen having no clue what I'm doing there, then when I get back to the living room I remember why I was in the kitchen, walk back and repeat. It's awful. The worst though is when I almost forget to give my kid his meds.. O_O Luckily it doesn't happen often, but I feel like an awful mommy when it does.
