Special Exposure Wednesday ~ SOOC Blur

For the details of how to join the weekly fun, please read What is Special Exposure Wednesday?

Have you seen a precious face? Capture it in a photo and win our Special Exposure Model Search Photo Contest.

SOOC – straight out of camera, no editing – like life.

A moment happens. You plan and it may take place as laid out. But a moment happens, and it is what you have. No take-backs..no editing…no matter how desperately you want otherwise.

Sometimes in photography and life, you simply embrace the blur.

What are you embracing this week?

Melody can be found writing here at 5MFSN every Tuesday in addition to hosting Special Exposure Wednesday. She can also be found at Slurping Life and what i think…and occasionally on the edge of a cliff.

What sweet words with your sweet picture! I tried to get some shots of Gabi for the photo contest, but it isn’t working out too well. I’ll send what I’ve got, and maybe you’ll get some better submissions! Or…. you can come here with your fantastic photography skills and capture it for me? (wink wink)

I put up a photo this week of my sweet baby as he was outside throwing rocks. He is so sweet and loving. I have entered a few into the contest and hope that we get chosen. He is the love of my life!!

This week is all about how far Rhett has come in the last two years. We are finally at a point in our lives where we can breathe with all of his medical issues…..That is until his tethered cord surgery on the 28th, and then the winter season hits!!! :)

I agree, sometimes the blur makes it that much better. It’s a wonderful picture!

You bet! That is perfect! My babes are taking a turn on the golf course this week. Elliot was in awe of just how soft the green was!

What a beautiful photo (as always) He has such a lovely profile and looks very deep in thought. I wonder what he’s thinking?

Gorgeous photo!! I actually love the effect…gives it a soft, arty feel and really portrays the mood. You’d probably have to spend hours trying to achieve that same effect with a regular “sharp” photo in a photo editing program; which makes the fact it was SOOC that much sweeter!! :)

What a terrific shot – I love the way it is slightly out of focus. It absolutely adds mod.

Yep, sometimes life is indeed blurry. Blurry is not always a bad thing either, sometimes the softness is exactly what we’re looking for.

Great post. Love the picture. In our photo today, Joey is standing (barefoot which is rare) by the t.v. The back of his shirt reads Just Do It. One of these days, he will “Just Do It” and take those first steps!

If I say mine is blurry too would you be offended? I hope not. As you say, catching that second can sometimes be just as effective, unless I have my rose tinted bifocals on again.
    Cheers

This is a perfect picture. It’s awesome when that picture is exactly what you wanted… even when you didn’t realize that was what you were going for.
