Magic Marker Monday — Halloween Fun

It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.”

I saw these cute little spiders made out of paper egg cartons and tea lights over at Family Fun and we just had to give them a try!

The resident 3-year-old is currently head-over-heels for spiders. Well, sort of… in a very hands off “don’t even think about coming near me” sort of way.

So long as they keep their distance, spiders are off-the-charts fascinating in his toddler-sized opinion.

His 7-year-old sister on the other hand? Spiders are neither pink, nor do they wear tutus. AND they are a creepy kind of bug.

No way was I going to talk her into making a spider. So we had to settle for a few modifications…

Halloween rainbow kitty anyone?

I love it! Very creative of her :)

LOL about spiders at a distance. Bitty is *terrified* of them… if he even thinks there is a spider nearby he starts screaming. But I think he’d like the pink kitty version :) .

These spiders are so cute. My son is into bugs and I bet he would have had fun making these. The kids did a great job.
