For the details read What is Special Exposure Wednesday?
This is my almost 11 year old son, Mac, who lives with Asperger’s Syndrome. I think the photo titles explain this one…
Photo Title: How to Deal with Sensory Overload
First Alternate Title: My Brothers Drive Me Crazy
Second Alternate Title: Why Is His Head Up an Elephant’s Butt?
Don’t you sometimes feel like doing this?
Link up below, visit one another, remember to comment and don’t forget you can also share up to three photos daily in the Special Exposure Wednesday Flickr group.
Look! Sunday I will be posting details about our very first “Special Exposure Model Search”. You know kids and cameras will be involved.

I vote for the second alternate title! I can’t believe I am up this late and still wasn’t the first one. Ugh!!
If my couch would let me, I think I’d do that from time to time as well!
Cute picture
You had me cracking up with the second alternate title! That is hilarious!!!!
Love it!
Cute picture! My guys like to squish themselves in the cushions too
That is too funny! I love the Elephant caption, you made me laugh very early!
That’s great!!!
I loved your alternate titles- glad I wasn’t the only one who thought it looked like an elephant bottom…I felt like a meanie when that thought popped into my head!
I love this photo…and the captions! Just perfect!
I like the second alternate title! I have many days when I would like to handle things just the way he is!
Oh dear. One day soon I will manage to figure out which day of the week it is!
I blame Summer holidays and a lack of routine!
Love yours, and I suspect that for this particular audience, we all ‘get it’.
It’s it great to be with like minded people?
Cheers
love your creativity with your titles
I wish I could bury my head the the couch some days!
that is a great pic!
I feel like this more times than I’d like to count! I may have to actually try it next time. It’s a better solution than screaming!
I have a child who does this same thing quite often. Only on his stomach, face down. He also sleeps with his head buried at night. Makes me worry that he’ll smother, but it’s always been his way to escape “too much input” in his world.
I would LOVE to bury my head in the pillows some days! Great picture!
Elephant Butt was the first thing that came to mind for me…lol What a cute photo, very funny!
Great picture! I laughed my head off while reading the titles. And yes, the crazy thing is, I feel like that more often than not! Thanks for a great laugh!
This is too funny, and I love your subtitles! How long does he stay there without suffocating? : D
Hello everybodeeeee (Elmo flashback). I am running behind in life and will be blog hopping tonight, right after I get MY head out of the sofa cushions.
I love that photo. i post a pic so come and see.
lol, I didn’t see the elephant butt at first, but now that you mention it… Too funny. Nice that he self soothes.
My theme this week was “then and now”.
Love the pic and the captions. We have a “now & then” theme this week. Thanks for sharing!
When I read the elephant butt title I just about fell over laughing!!!!
I love it!! Looks like something my daughter would do. I vote for alternate title number two…before I scrolled all the way down I did think it was going to be a pic of an elephant’s back end!!
Love the second alternate title! AND I love how many people are participating on this site! What a great community of special needs parents we have already!
Great titles! My kids like the elephant butt one!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The third comment is what my daughter said when she saw the photo!
I posted for Special Exposure Wednesday!
Oh, Melody, this just CRACKED ME UP!! Tell Mac I think he’s brilliant — I think this is how I would like to spend my weekend
