Special Exposure Wednesday.

When you have a PICC line that is connected to IV antibiotics 24 hours a day you need a bag.

When you have to wear a bag all day and all night and you are three and a half, it is essential that it be

a) fashionable

b) washable

c) big enough

because when you wear a PICC line bag you have to have things inside, other than an infusion pump, don’t you know.

It’s important to make it your own.

Yes, the contents of  the PICC line bag should reflect one’s personality.

Bringing up seven kids has led to in depth knowledge of asthma, autism, fetal alcohol syndrome and drug induced developmental delay, immune deficiency and autoimmune disease, ectodermal dysplasia, neonatal death and cardiac defect. Despite all of that, I didn't know I was about to start the ride of my life with the illness of my youngest daughter, Ivy.

You’re still there then? With your entertainment centre? Hope you’re off home again soon.

Awww! When Meg had her last EEG they gave her a cute Dora the Explorer bag to carry around with all the wires. She thought it was the coolest. Hope you return home soon.
