“It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child.”

First day of summer and we’re already hearing refrains of “I’m booooooored…” ringing through the house.
My husband got tired of it yesterday afternoon and plunked the kiddos down to watch a Pink Panther cartoon out of our Netflix instant queue.
Puzzled looks soon turned to giggles and outright belly-laughs as the Pink Panther charmed them with his pink shenanigans, following along behind a frustrated painter, turning all his blue paint to pink.
My eldest was so charmed, in fact, that she has been sketching Pink Panther doodles all weekend.
This one I am told is of the Pink Panther (on stilts, mind you) in the right corner as he transforms the painter’s (left corner) just-finished blue house into a pink one. Somehow the pink mischief-maker has also managed to turn the sky, clouds, sun, trees, and even a bird who was un-lucky enough to be passing through, into a neon shade of pink.
Sorry, painter guy — better your house than mine.
