Hazelnut Kids Stockmar Block Beeswax Crayon Giveaway!

Hazlenut Kids is an online toy store that has provided me hours of recreational dreaming. Many a visit has been spent drooling over the natural, earth-friendly, wooden and organic toys for children and babies.

Cause as any parent of a child with special needs will know, a toy is just a toy…..it's therapy.

IMG_3384

In this picture one may think that Parker is simply coloring. That would be incorrect.

Parker is actually working on increasing strength in his very week, very teeny hands. He's learning colors as he chooses between the orange and blue crayon block. He's coordinating hand and eye movements. And he's bearing weight on his right hand.

During this therapy session Parker is using Stockmar Block beeswax crayons sent to us from Hazelnut Kids.

These block crayons by Stockmar are just the right size and shape for Parker's hands. And the colors are smooth and gorgeous. That comes from the beeswax they are made from.

Want to try these out for yourself? Well, Hazelnut Kids has provided 5 Minutes For Special Needs readers to win their own set of 16 Stockmar Block beeswax crayons! Oh, yea!

Retail value: approx $25.00

Just go over to Hazelnut Kids and look around. Come back and let me know which product you're drooling over. You know. For therapy.

Please don't enter me in the drawing. Just had to compliment Tammy on her beautiful activity analysis!

Indeed, drawing is made therapeutic with the right materials and position.

I love the colored pencils that are triangular. They would help my daughter with her fine motor skills.

    Stacy @ 9:13 pm

I work with kids ages 0-3 who have special needs, and I know they would love these crayons!
I'll also admit that I'm drooling over the block sets- I'm still hoping to find a set for my kiddos at a garage sale.

I am drooling over the whole site for actual therapy! I'm in school to be a speech therapist and whatever toys I have for my future kiddos are gonna need to be durable and multi-functional. The Halzelnut products seem to be both. I'll bet those big square crayons are not easily snapped in half, for example, whereas the crayons I'm using for my four year olds are all broken after just three or four sessions. I am definitely keeping this site on my radar, and I would love to win! :)

OOH- I had never heard of Hazelnut Kids before! My sons attended a Waldorf school, and much of their toys involved these natural styles at the store!

Playsilks and playclips are my all-time favorites! There are endless possibilities with these open-ended toys! I've seen them become caps, bandages, canopies, dragon's fire, everything!

And Stockmar products are the best. I love the block crayons and make felt roll-up sleeves for them.
