Welcome to Magic Marker Monday! If you haven’t heard about Magic Marker Monday yet, click here and then hurry right back…

Don’t know about you, but our family has St. Patrick’s Day plans. We’ve been playing with St. Patrick’s Day coloring and activity pages for a couple of weeks now and I was informed by our oldest that a party was a necessity.
I am told that the party must include “decorations, party hats, a ‘leprechaun feast’, a pie, and confetti.”
So my eldest apparently has the decoration situation under control — and unfortunately for me, she is experienced in the fine art of confetti making as well.
That leaves me with pies, leprechauns, and their respective ‘feasts’.
I have no idea what a ‘leprechaun feast’ is. Except that it’s bound to be tricky since all ‘feasts’ in our household have to be both gluten-free and casein-free.
And that I’m supposed to invite leprechauns.
And I’ve just received word that the Saint Patrick’s Day Puppet Pattern we used last week to create some leprechauns of our own (like the mischievous little fellow pictured above) don’t count.
They must be real leprechauns doncha know…
So I’ve told her she better get busy and build some leprechaun traps as the wee folk aren’t known for making voluntary social appearances.
Not that she believes a word of it, but hey — if it keeps her busy…

Thankfully this year we haven’t had to make any leprechaun traps, which is just as well as I was running out of ideas.
I would imagine that a leprechaun feast would have to be Irish stew but I can’t see that going down a storm even though it does meet your criteria.
Talking of which I think I’ll make mine tomorrow as it always tastes so much better if you make it ahead of time. [a bit like curry!]
Cheers
I know someone else who goes all out for St. Patrick’s Day… Today my husband’s parents took us out to miniature golf in honor of the occasion, bought us shamrock cookies, and even traipsed with us through the Lego store in the mall. Which was the boys’ favorite part, of course. My seven-year-old said, on the way out of the store, clutching his bag of loot, “St. Patrick’s Day is my favorite holiday!” Aha.
Very cute!
This is the first year we’ve been asked to make leprechaun traps, I have pics of them up today
.
Love the little leprechaun. Swing by the IE Mommy and check out our little masterpieces!
Such a fun artsy tour of your blogs this week! Can’t wait to see what your kiddos come up with next Monday!

( And Becky — You made me giggle! Grandparents are great for making a favorite out of just about any holiday, no?
)
What a cute project! At my daughter’s school, they celebrated St Pat’s Day with a visit from the leprechauns, who tipped things over and moved things around, AND made the water in the bathroom toilets green — it got excited giggles from even the quietest students.
