Thanks for the great information! Just wanted to add that Dynavox Technologies is a great resource for Augmentative and alternative communication devices. I recently purchased a vmax for my nonverbal autistic son and it has been great. Their devices are even funded!

Oh good. I was a bit worried that I’d be way off base or too vague or generally irrelevant – stop that last bit, as I may be still too irrelevant!

Lets see what we all come up with as a sort of team effort.

Trish – these are all great resouces. I have used the first three in articles on my autism site. I am going to the free exhibit day at the CSUN 24th Annual International Technology & Persons with Disabilities Conference on the 20th at the LAX Airport Hotels.

I am bringing my flip and hope to get lots of info from the exhibitors. Been wanting to attend for ten years, now with son on bus and going to middle school I have the time to drive over there and explore

I have astoundingly little experience with nonverbal children, but found these articles to be quite useful, especially the second one down, for all children. I’m looking forward to the rest of the submissions.
